Winchester Power Max Bonded ammo coming soon

Designed specifically for the heavy varmint and heavy game/deer hunter, Winchester’s new Power Max Bonded line continues the tradition of legendary performance. Power Max Bonded ammunition is a jacketed bullet with a proprietary bonding process that delivers massive expansion, long-range accuracy and maximum knock-down power. Winchester’s proprietary bonding process welds lead to a copper alloy jacket where the two act together during expansion for improved penetration and retained weight. Power Max Bonded slots into the Winchester range between the Super X and Supreme centrefire ammunition lines.

“The Power Max Bonded ammunition samples we have shot in the past few months have us very excited. The gel block tests our guys ran in house meant we had no issues bringing the new line over from the US. Our range will be tailored to our Australian game species,” said Jeff Gordon, manager of sales and marketing for Winchester Australia.

“We encourage all Aussie hunters to continue to be our eyes and ears in the field as Winchester Quality Testers with Power Max Bonded.”

Key features of the Power Max Bonded bullet include:

  • Protected hollow-point PHP design
  • Lead core bonded to jacket with proprietary process
  • Massive frontal area of bullet expansion is more than double original diameter
  • Lead remains bonded to jacket after impact
