All new CZ 455 rimfire rifle arrives in Australia

The new model CZ 455 Standard, Deluxe, Classic and Supermatch rimfire rifles replace their 452 equivalents. All other CZ rimfire rifles remain available in 452 and 453 specification.

The CZ 455 rimfire rifle is based on classical design, but incorporates a lot of improvements affecting most of the main parts of the rifle. First of all, CZ has answered the wishes of many customers by building an action enabling interchangeability of barrels. CZ has also adopted a new philosophy for engineering the barrel’s muzzle, which was acquired in the course of development and manufacture of firearms designed for hunting at long distances. This has allowed shortening of the barrel, while retaining CZ's traditionally high accuracy.

The stock has been the recipient of small changes in order to achieve an even greater comfort during shooting. This was attained by optimizing the grip ergonomics, among others, in the pistol grip area. A new method of connecting barrel-action with the stock is now facilitated by two screws, with an improved interface enabling simpler tightening and sleeker appearance. Innovative new features can also be found around the sights. The rear-sight enables adjustments for elevation and wind, while the newly shaped front-sight base facilitates precise aiming. The use of cold hammer-forged barrels has been retained, while the receiver is still made from a single billet of high-quality steel. Traditionally uncompromising attention to detail can be found on each unit of this new rifle.
