Pedersoli guns at the 2010 World Muzzle Loading Championships

From August 15 to 22, the shooting ranges at Fervença (Barcelos) in Portugal hosted the 24th World Muzzle Loading Championships. The new international meeting enabled Davide Pedersoli to count a new record of medals - 50 medals, divided among 15 gold, 19 silver and 16 bronze. To the great satisfaction of the Pedersoli team, the achievement of the shooters is recognised and the company is celebrating the amazing results achieved.

Nine gold medals were won in the individual disciplines. The guns used included a Model 1777 in Miqelet, Swiss Match rifle in Pennsylvania, Gibbs .40-calibre rifle in Walkyrie, Württenbergischen rifle in Lamarmora, Mortimer rifle in Maximilian, Mortimer shotgun in Lorenzoni, Bristlen Morges rifle in Vetterli, Le Page pistol in Kuchenreuter Youth and Gibbs .40-calibre rifle in Whitworth.

Gold medals in the teams’ disiciplines were secured by a Model 1777 musket in Halikko, Württenbergischen rifle in Magenta and Enfield, Mortimer rifle in Kossuth, Le Page and Charles Moore pistols in Wogdon and Bristlen Morges rifle in Pforzheim.

Seven silver medals were won using a Model 1777 musket in Miquelet, Mortimer rifle in Pennsylvania, Mortimer shotgun in Manton, Württenbergischen rifle in Lamarmora, Tryon Creedmoor rifle in Whitworth, Le Page pistol in Kuchenreuter Youth and a Gibbs .40-calibre rifle in Vetterli Youth.

Silver medals in the teams disciplines were achieved with Le Page pistol in Wogdon, a Pedersoli Remington Pattern revolver in Peterlongo, Bristlen Morges rifle in Pforzheim, Württenbergischen rifle in Magenta, Jäger and Mortimer rifles in Lucca, Mortimer rifles in Kossuth, Württenbergischen rifles in Enfield, Gibbs rifles in Rigby, Mortimer shotguns in Hawker, An IX muskets in Halikko and Gibbs rifles in the Pforzheim Youth and in Rigby Youth disciplines.

Bronze medals were won by five shooters using a Le Page pistol in Cominazzo, Le Page pistol in Kuchenreuter 15 shot, An IX Dragoons musket in Miquelet, Württenbergischen rifle in Lamarmora and Gibbs .40-calibre in Whitworth Youth.

Eleven teams secured bronze medals with a Charles Moore pistol in Wogdon, Model 1777, An IX and Brown Bess muskets in Halikko, Bristlen Morges and Tryon rifles in Pforzheim, Jäger and Mortimer rifles in Kossuth, Württenbergischen rifle in Magenta, Gibbs rifle in Amazons, Mortimer rifle in Lucca, Mortimer shotguns in Hawker and Batesville and Gibbs rifles in Pforzheim Youth and Rigby Youth.

In addition to the 50 medals, 17 honourable places were won with Pedersoli guns in individual and team disciplines, and 14 shooters ranked fifth place and 10 shooters the sixth place. Reviewing the first 10 classified places of the 16 individual disciplines entered with Pedersoli guns, you can see that they have been used by 46. 2% of the shooters.
