SSAA Tasmanian Deerstalkers Super NT Safari Raffle

The SSAA Tasmanian Deerstalkers Inc (T10 Branch) is proud to announce its Super NT Safari Raffle, with the main prize being a $10,000 Northern Territory buffalo hunting expedition, thanks to Australian Buffalo Hunters.

SSAA Tasmanian Deerstalkers Inc (T10 Branch) negotiates and administers access to hunting leases in Tasmania that can be used by its members. In addition to this, their shooting range at Shene Road in Pontville caters for Benchrest, Field Rifle, Handgun and Rifle Metallic Silhouette, Target Pistol, Action Match and other shooting disciplines. The club’s membership comprises experienced hunters and sporting shooters, but they are only too happy to help and encourage new members.

SSAA Tasmanian Deerstalkers President Terry Hill said the Super NT Safari Raffle aims to raise funds for many club and membership developments.

“We’d like to expand the club’s hunting leases and make some range improvements, but also develop junior hunter and family membership,” said Terry.

“The important thing is to keep the family unit together in combined interests in our community.”

First prize for the raffle is a five-day buffalo hunt in Arnhem Land, fully guided by Graham Williams from Australian Buffalo Hunters, valued at $10,000. Second prize is a Leica 2.5-10x42 scope and third prize is a Leica 1200CRF rangefinder. Only 400 raffle tickets will be available to purchase, with tickets costing $50 each. The raffle will be drawn on 17 February 2011 and winners announced in The Mercury on 19 February 2011.
