SSAA Tasmania Douglas Scoring System seminar
Way back in 1985, Norman Douglas visited Tasmania in response to an invitation from the SSAA Tasmanian Deerstalkers. As a result, many of today’s hunters still carry the knowledge gained from the brief and cherished contact with this great man.
On November 21 and 22, hunters have the opportunity to remember the late Norman Douglas by way of a visit from Ray Webb and two of his associates who learnt the Douglas System of scoring from the man himself.
The seminar will be held at The Castle Hotel on Patrick Street in Bothwell. Information sessions will be from 10am each day and a dinner will be held on the Saturday night from 7:30pm (please book). To help fund this event, the SSAA Tasmania Deerstalkers are conducting a raffle, which will be drawn at the dinner, to win a Mossberg .30-06 rifle.
The cost of the seminar is $70 per person for both days, including dinner on the Saturday night. If you wish to attend only the seminar, it is $50 per person for the two days, while the dinner is $25. Because there is a strict limit on numbers, please download the form from www.ssaatasdeer.org.au/docs/douglas_seminar.pdf to secure your spot before November 6. Remember to buy a ticket or two for the raffle while you're at it.
There are various options for nearby accommodation if you wish to stay the night, but be quick:
