Queensland ADA Hunting and Outdoor Show
The Queensland branches of the Australian Deer Association are proudly hosting the Hunting and Outdoor Show on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Toogoolawah Showgrounds, with doors opening at 10am.
The event began many years ago as a social gathering for the members of the ADA and has progressed to the point that in 2008 it was decided that a name change was in order. As such, the Hunting and Outdoor Show came to be. The show still maintains the social and friendly atmosphere for members and non-members alike, but now has the added advantage of being an event to rival many others.
This year hopes to be the best yet, with displays from taxidermists, hunting guides, gunshops (including Cleaver Firearms, The Barn Oakey and The Open Range), four-wheel drive supplies, hunting and shooting organisations, gunsmiths and parts manufacturers (such as MAB Barrells), video makers (like Rob Harvey from Wild Images), knives and knifemakers, archery displays, winemakers and more.
There will be a fully licensed bar, food and drinks available and things for the kids to do.
As usual, everyone is invited to bring any game species heads taken, deer or other, in the past 12 months for the People’s Choice Awards. Hourly lucky door prizes will be drawn and there will be raffles and auctions also on the day. Everyone is invited to attend and take part in the activities. Make sure to bring your wallet, as there is a gold coin donation entry and there will be plenty of specials available for the show only.
