The Australian Rural and Outback Awards
Applauding rural achievers
The Australian Rural and Outback Awards are on the lookout for the first time ever this year for rural and outback achievers. Imparja Television, WIN Television and the Department of Defence initiated the Awards to acknowledge and reward the potential and strength of our rural and outback achievers by giving them a chance at national acknowledgement.
The Awards provide an opportunity for many communities around the country to embrace the feeling of gratitude for our individuals who work tirelessly in developing youth activities and organisations, our health and community service workers, businesses focused on job placement and training and businesses and farmers practising biosecurity measures and regional development.
The Australian Rural and Outback Awards, now officially launched, are calling for nominations in the following five categories:
- The Canberra Institute of Technology Business, Training and Employment Award
- The Farm Biosecurity Award
- The Rural Skills Australia Agricultural and Rural Development Award
- The Department of Defence Youth Leadership Award
- The Golden Circle Health and Community Services Award
Nominate now for your chance to win a share in $10,000 and a magnificent handcrafted glass trophy, supported by Traditional Credit Union.
We call to our local community, to get behind these Awards and nominate a local achiever this year!
Imparja Television and the Australian Defence Force in association with WIN Television are proud to be able to support our rural and outback achievers. Nomination forms are available by visiting www.awardsaustralia.com or phoning 1300 735 445.
Nominations close July 10, 2009.
