Adelaide based Australian agent for Walther firearms Frontier Arms Co Pty Ltd recently hosted two armourers’ course for the Walther P99 handgun. One of the two-day courses was held in the nation’s capital and instructed personnel from government agencies in the procedures and techniques required to maintain Walther’s latest self-loading handgun, which has been specifically manufactured for the law enforcement market. The Walther P99, available in both .40SW and 9mm, has been purchased by a state jurisdiction for use by specialist officers.

“Its been a great opportunity for local small arms experts to obtain factory accredited expertise in the upkeep of one of the world’s best law enforcement handguns.” Said Frontier Arms director Damian Papps. “We are pleased that Australian agencies could avail themselves to training which was offered locally. Great support by Walther contributed to the courses’ success with technical training from Walther’s product engineer who was also involved in the design of the P99. The innovation and technology is ideal for law enforcement and defence applications and it is the handgun of choice for the German Police.”
