New Silva L1 Camo headlamp

Silva Sweden AB, famous for its high-quality compasses, have released its most powerful LED headlamp to date - the Silva L1.

It sets the standard with a high-performance, ultra-bright, true 3-watt Luxeon LED lamp designed for hunting and finished in camouflage colors.

The unique, lightweight construction throws a night-piercing 63m beam in its ‘Ultra-Bright’ mode. It is powered by four AA batteries and has a discharge time of up to 200 hours when used in ‘Power Save’ mode.

A handy feature is its controlled electronics, which allows the headlamp to give off constant light until only 15 per cent of the total battery capacity is left - at that point, it automatically switches down to ‘Power Save’ mode to ensure hours of light, no matter if you’re almost out of batteries, so there’s no unpleasant or annoying surprises.

Included with the headlamp is an external battery case for four C-class batteries, and when connected, extends the discharge time by 300 per cent.

The headlamp’s weighs a total of 226g, including the AA batteries, and is waterprood to IPX6 standard. It includes a two-year warranty and retails for $199 from major adventure camping stories.
