Polaris: ‘Bet you $100’ deal pays off
The March 2006 official Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) figures have just confirmed Polaris’ has continued market share growth in Australia’s competitive ATV industry.
Official figures show that year to date as at March 2006, Polaris increased its retail unit sales by a massive 43% on the same period in 2005. Polaris share growth outstripped all competitors and contributed approximately 32% of the Industry’s market growth.
Impressively, Polaris was the only ATV Brand to increase market share in the first quarter versus the same period last year.
National Sales Manager Peter Harvey put these numbers in perspective by saying “this is an incredible result when you consider that it is a 43% increase in retail unit sales on top of 2005 – which was the biggest year in the history of Polaris!”
In fact March 2006 showed the single biggest retail market share in any month on record for Polaris. Mr. Harvey went on to say that “Our Bet You $100 campaign hit the market in February and the early retail results are very pleasing. Clearly we have hit the mark with our customers as more and more discover that “Nothing Rides Like a Polaris”. That promotion ended April 30th and the company has upped the stakes to ‘Bet you $500’ for the month of May.
Polaris was also Australia’s fastest growing ATV brand in terms of unit sales for the first quarter.
Mr Harvey went onto say that he expects even more Australians to swap to a Polaris in 2006. “The new 300cc Hawkeye is a hit and in recent weeks we began selling two all new models. The first is Sportsman X2, a Utility ATV which tows more and carries a heap more than other 500cc ATVs, and it converts from a one-seater to a two-seater in under ten seconds. The second is the Outlaw, the world’s first sports ATV with Independent Rear Suspension.
