Polaris is Australia’s fastest growing ATV brand
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has released the official 2005 ATV market figures for Australia. Polaris Industries has achieved the largest growth in 2005 with a massive 49 per cent increase in retail sales since 2004. Polaris increased market share in every state in the Australian market. In fact, Polaris was the only ATV brand to increase market share in 2005.
Peter Alexander, managing director of Polaris Industries in Australia and New Zealand, said that they were very satisfied with the result.
“The results demonstrate that the ATV community understands that Polaris manufactures world leading ATVs and that the Polaris ride quality is the best in the world,” he said.
“Farmers in particular understand that nothing rides like a Polaris. When you spend endless hours every day on an ATV seat - like most Australian farmers do - ride quality is paramount.
“This is why in the 451-plus cc segment (the work horse segment of the market) Polaris is the number-one choice of Australian farmers.”
The Australian ATV market increased by 15 per cent in 2004 with Polaris making up 35 per cent of the total growth in the market.
“The market is starting to understand that we have been around for 51 years and that we usually lead the ATV industry with product innovation,” Mr Alexander said.
“If you look at our line up, we have products that are fundamentally unique; products that customers are voting for with their wallets.”
In 2005, Polaris announced a strategic partnership with KTM motorcycles.
