Australian Hunter

Australian Hunter 44Australia's favourite hunting magazine
As regular readers will know, Australian Hunter is the magazine for those with an interest in hunting, as well as the outdoors, wildlife management and conservation. However, this year, Australian Hunter is going one step further in celebrating the hard work of hunters all over this country by supporting SSAA National’s 2013 Year of the Hunter.

On page 43, you will see the first of a series of Year of the Hunter posters planned for this year depicting everyday people from all walks of life, but who all share a common interest in hunting.

Hunting, of course, is a legitimate and important activity that can be enjoyed recreationally or professionally, individually or as a member of a group. It may also be conducted for any number of reasons, such as having free-range organic meat for the family dinner table or managing a troublesome species from devastating vulnerable wildlife.

Whatever the reason and whatever the pursuit, hunters play an important role in maintaining Australia’s ecosystem, and the Year of the Hunter is just one way of letting the rest of Australia know this. Enjoy all that Hunter 44 has to offer and remember to visit www.ssaa.org.au/hunting for more information about the 2013 Year of the Hunter!
