Australian Hunter

Australia's favourite hunting magazine
Welcome to Australian Hunter 31. As many of you already know, Australia has a wide and diverse range of hunting opportunities and this issue of Australian Hunter is certainly testament to that.
First up, experienced hunter Dick Eussen takes us to the billabongs, lagoons and rivers of the Gulf Country in search of some big pigs, while Warren McKay introduces us to one of Australia’s lesser known deer species - the small-framed but still tough-to-hunt Moluccan rusa deer.
Tim Blackwell then demonstrates just how important hunters are to Australia’s farming industry when he helps keep fox numbers down during lambing season. Tim’s story is one of many out there showing how you can be even an occasional hunter and still make a big difference, not only to our native species and the environment, but our professional industries as well.
In addition to these stories, we continue with our regular sections, offering you practical hunting information, product reviews and some great recipes for cooking up those game meats you have already sourced from the field.
Enjoy this issue and until next time, happy reading and good hunting!
