Farmer Assist (Pilot) Program

SSAA National and SSAA Queensland are working together to release the SSAA Farmer Assist (Pilot) Program throughout Queensland. The SSAA Farmer Assist Program is a unique online application that has been developed to enable farmers with wildlife management issues to seek the assistance of SSAA members. The specially designed online interface enables the whole program to be run via this portal, allowing a farmer to choose who they invite onto their properties from the group of members replying to their post.

First stage - register now!
The member registration phase is now open, and we invite SSAA Queensland members to begin the easy four-step process to register for the program. You will need access to a computer, the internet and have a current email address to be able to register and participant in this program. If you don’t have these, then this program is probably not for you.

The release process will be staggered to ensure that we build a substantial resource of qualified members that will be able to service demand prior to the promotion and release to farmers groups.

We only have one chance to impress farmers and we need to make sure we can provide the service that we are promoting to make the program a success. That is why it may take some time from the initial member registration phase to get to the fully operational stage. We ask for your patience and understanding with this. We will notify you via email and through the Australian Shooter magazine when farmers begin to post jobs.

Four-step process to get involved
1) Members must read the Complete Program Booklet and commit to obey to the program’s safety, animal welfare and ethical hunting requirements.

2) Members must attend a SSAA range and undertake the self-guided shooting competency assessment using the approved SSAA Farmer Assist Assessment Target.

3) Using your computer and internet connection, go to the SSAA Farmer Assist webpage and enter the necessary details to fill in the sign up form and complete registration.

4) Respond to the system-generated email from SSAA Farmer Assist as directed to verify your account. This will allow you to log in to the Farmer Assist jobs page and begin investigating the jobs board and be ready to reply to jobs.
