NSW Muzzleloading Shotgun Championships
16-17 August 2008

The 2008 Muzzleloading Shotgun Championships were hosted once again by the Shoalhaven Clay Target Club at their Misty Mountain Complex. Laurie Cook, deputy Muzzleloading Discipline Chairman, and his Shoalhaven CTC team organised a very successful and challenging two-day shoot in August. The weather was cold at night, with warm days compared to the two previous wet shoots.

On Saturday, we held the Down The Line Caplock and Firelock events, both of which were 25-clay events. The Caplock winner was decided in a shoot-off when the first two tied their scores.

On Sunday, in beautiful shooting weather, the Field and Game Firelock and Caplock events were held. These proved to be very challenging shoots, as indicated by the scores. It was very difficult for the Firelock event in particular. The Caplock event was also decided by a shoot-off for the minor placings.
