Senator Online’s Scott Reading
As a patriotic Australian and passionate Queenslander, Scott Reading’s interest in politics stems from his strong belief in democracy and the will of the majority view. The Queensland Senate candidate brings more than 20 years of life experience to the role - as a husband and father, a manager, a director, a leader, a carer and advocate, he has the drive and determination to get the job done. Scott is most proud of his volunteer work for the disabled community, where he is a director of one of Queensland’s most progressive children’s charities.
Senator Online challenges the traditional Australian political process by offering voters a new, easy and highly effective way to engage with issues that concern them now and beyond election time. Unlike the major parties, each Senator Online candidate signs a letter guaranteeing they will only vote in line with the majority view. At the click of a mouse, Australians will be able to directly engage with the development and formation of policy; with the opportunity to have their say on issues they feel passionately about.
Voters are looking to have their say today and every day not just every three years. Each Federal Senator costs the taxpayer in excess of half a million dollars each year - yet all major party senators in the main simply follow the party line.
Scott looks forward to serving the great people of Queensland and Australia by providing accountability and returning the Senate to a house of review, rather than a house of rubber stamps, which only benefits the major political parties.
