Australian Shooters Journal

In 1999, the SSAA National Board made a decision to instigate a new publication. Titled the Australian Shooters Journal, or simply ASJ, this publication would be a periodic supplement to the monthly Australian Shooter magazine, focusing exclusively on the legislation, licensing, political and lobbying issues that concern sporting shooters and recreational hunters. While these topics were previously covered in the Australian Shooter, it was felt that a new publication was needed so these topics could be discussed and analysed in much more depth.

More than 10 years later, the ASJ now reaches some 150,000 SSAA members and continues to bring a wide range of political, legislative, social and environmental issues to the fore. A wonderful educational and political tool for both the SSAA and members alike, the ASJ enables readers to make informed decisions on the issues that concern them.
